Stacy Cohen is the Instructional Technologist at Framingham State University. In addition to supporting the teaching and learning systems on campus, she works closely with the Education Technology and Interactive Media teams to assist faculty, staff, and students in the appropriate application and implementation of technology in the teaching and learning environment. Stacy’s projects include teaching with mobile devices, supporting the implementation of teaching with technology grants on campus, implementing classroom response systems, and implementing lecture capture. Most recently, she has been involved in the process of defining the policies and procedures for lecture capture and other video applications on campus.
Stacy earned her BA in English with a concentration in secondary education from Bridgewater State University and holds her MEd in Education Technology from Framingham State University. As a licensed K-12 English teacher-turned-technologist, she has developed a 360-degree view of teaching and learning. She is focused on developing effective strategies and designing activities that use technology to help learners access content and develop transferable informational and technological fluency skills essential for success in an ever-changing professional world. Stacy has presented through MCO, NERCOMP, and EdTech Teacher on topics including best practices for leveraging virtual classroom tools, improving student engagement with mobile technologies, using augmented reality to promote active learning, recruiting and training student workers.
