The power of storytelling has captivated and challenged people since the beginning of time, and some of the best stories begin as
storyboards. Without a doubt, you have a story to tell. But as educators, we should also be asking ourselves: Do my
students have a story to tell? And what is the best way to encourage them to share their experiences and personal journeys? In this session, we will look at some of the basic patterns in storytelling throughout the ages, and will be challenged to use iPad and a variety of common apps to collaboratively create storyboard narratives that resonate with others. For the best experience, you are encouraged to come to the session with a sketching app (i.e., 53 Paper, Brushes, etc.) already on your iPad. Not to worry - “artistic ability” is not a prerequisite! This is story
boarding, after all. But you will be encouraged to collaborate with others and contribute your ideas toward a story that needs to be heard - in the same way that we want to challenge our students to do the same.
