Are You Indispensable? A Design Thinking Approach to Education

In an era where machines are replacing many people’s jobs, linchpins are individuals who are unique, who do emotional work, and are passionate about what they do ultimately serving as the creative problem solvers in their communities and organizations. We are often told that education must nurture these skills within our youth, yet as educators we face the challenge of how to enhance and develop these skills. Together we will explore how a design thinking approach to curriculum can help overcome the traditional structures in classrooms nurturing a culture of innovation. In this interactive session participants will have the opportunity to discuss ideas for how they can begin implementing a design thinking approach into their curriculum as you help create the future problem solvers of tomorrow.
