Sketch Noting is emerging an effective approach to consuming and capturing ones thoughts while listening to a speaker, reading an article or watching video footage. While the sketch noting process is both effective and reasonably created with paper, the potential of sketch noting with an iPad allows for creation not attainable with paper alone.

This session will explore the philosophical approach to sketch noting, the intersection of paper and iPads, techniques to get started with the process and sketch noting 2.0 or Hybrid Sketch Noting. Sketch Noting 2.0 refers to the process of combining paper sketches, images, digital sketching and potentially video to create a final product that is a natural extension of paper sketch noting. By extending the sketch noting process to the digital realm and beyond the restraints of digital paper alone, sketch notes can be brought to life in video form to create a powerful and shareable story of ones unique understanding of a concept. The session will refer to the following apps in the sketch noting process: Paper 53, Keynote, Explain Everything, Green Screen by DoInk, Adobe Voice and TiltShift Video. Note - the apps listed are not required while attending the session.
